Metchosin Talk and Walk Series

District of Metchosin Municipal Hall

4450 Happy Valley Road

Once a month on Fridays at 7:00 pm

September to June

Talks and Walks have been suspended until the coronavirus situation reaches a point where they can resume.

Talks are once a month, on Fridays at 7:00 pm, September to June, at the District of Metchosin Council Chambers. If there is an associated walk, it is almost always the following day, Saturday, at 10:00 am.

See website for info on upcoming Talk and Walks. If you wish to receive email notifications about the Talk and Walks, you can subscribe to the email list.

Until the fall of 2018, the Talk and Walks (102 of them over a twelve-year period) were organized by Moralea Milne. Since then, the Metchosin Biodiversity Project, which Moralea helped to start and which runs the Metchosin BioBlitzes and MycoBlitzes, has been organizing the Talk and Walk series. The talks are on natural history topics of relevance to Metchosin residents. Recent talks, for example, have been on eelgrass, bumblebees, lichens, and sandspit restoration. (For a list of previous talks, see here.)
