Swanwick and William Head Road (the field on the ocean side)
528 Swanwick Road
July 28 - 29, 2018
8:00 am - possibly 5:00 pm
The Metchosin Sheepdog Trial is a family friendly, smoke free event showcasing top working sheepdogs and their handlers from all over the west coast of North America. As we are trying to keep the event as waste free as possible, please bring your own water bottles and mugs.
Entry is by donation but we are hoping that people will be generous and also purchase the informative program. There will be food available, prize raffles and fifty-fifty draws throughout the weekend along with some possible demonstrations. Portable outhouse style toilets will be on site.
The event is at Swanwick Ranch Farm on William Head Road, which allows for a championship level course of up to five hundred metres, all in full view from the bleachers. The event runs from 8 am to possibly 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29, so do come and enjoy the return of this classically Metchosin event.
We will need lots of volunteers to help put up tents and other set up things on Friday, help with raffles, 50-50, parking and the entry gate on Saturday and Sunday, as well as help with the take down and clean up on Sunday at the end of the day. We are hoping to have enough volunteers who have the Metchosin spirit to enable short shifts for everyone.
Please contact Kathleen or Brian at 250-474-3966, if you are able to put even one volunteer shift in.
