The Broken Paddle is a unique coffee shop in the heart of Metchosin. Using local ingredients wherever possible to make freshly baked goods, drinks, and light lunches. Even though they are out in the beautiful countryside, their baristas are well trained and provide consistent quality coffee products. They use fairly traded Level Ground coffee beans freshly roasted in West Saanich to provide rich flavour and depth in both the brew coffee and espresso drinks. Come in and meet the friendly staff; this is an eclectic, personable place to visit.

There are revolving art shows that keep it beautifully interesting, local politics and good conversation, and a welcoming environment where you can rest your feet or get a cup to go.

They have fresh baking created from scratch every day, light lunches, homemade chai, and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, like delicious Blue Haze Farm apple cider.
